So it’s still a possibility? Brock Lesnar is one of the most talked about wrestlers of all time, which is all the more interesting when you consider that he’s almost never around. At the moment, Lesnar rarely appears on Monday Night Raw or even at most pay per views, but he’s still the Universal Champion. He’s also a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and they might want him back.
During last night’s post UFC 235 press conference, UFC President Dana White announced that he’s willing to give UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier his requested fight with Lesnar. There are several details to be established though, such as Lesnar returning to the UFC in general, along with a time and a place. Cormier has said that he will be retiring around his 40th birthday, which takes place on March 20.
From the boss’ mouth. Check out White’s comments about the potential fight:
Opinion: I’m not sure if this fight is ever going to take place, but my goodness there’s certainly a lot of money for Lesnar to make at the moment. All he has to do is go talk to Vince McMahon about this and he’ll likely get a big contract offer from WWE. Then do the same with UFC and pick whichever gives him more money. It’s brilliant strategy and it certainly seems to be working.
