Holding out for a hero. Every now and then, someone in wrestling just needs to be saved. That could be through someone doing something to bail them out of trouble or just coming down and helping in a fight. These are often some of the best things that you see in wrestling as it’s the definition of the cowboy riding in for the save at the last second possible. They’re so cool that it’s time for a retrospective.
Someone save me if you will.
WWE has posted a new Top Ten video looking at the most Amazing Ringside Rescues. The countdown looks at the best times when someone ran down to the ring to save someone who was in need. While a lot of these are more modern entries, there are some that go back quite a long way on a variety of stages. There are some that you can probably guess while others may surprise you.
Opinion: No I’m not crying at number one. It’s just a little dirt or something in my eye. There were tons more that they could have put on the list, including Hulk Hogan coming out to save Randy Savage in the main event of WrestleMania 4 or Undertaker and Kane saving Lita from the Two Man Power Trip in 2001. Either way, this was a really cool list and they got the top two entries to perfection.
Which of these was your favorite? What did WWE leave off? Let us know in the comments below.
