Welcome back. AEW has shaken up the wrestling world and what makes things even more impressive is how fast they have done so. The promotion has not even been around for three years yet and its flagship TV show has not even hit its second anniversary. Despite this, the promotion has quite the history and someone from that history has made a surprise return.
Jamie Hayter made her return to AEW at the end of this week’s edition of Rampage. Following Britt Baker’s successful defense of her AEW Women’s Title over Red Velvet, Kris Statlander attacked Baker. This drew out Hayter for the save to end the show. Hayter has not appeared in AEW in nearly two years and has only wrestled for AEW twice, including a loss to Baker in November 2019.
It was a big return. Check out Hayter, plus some of her time elsewhere:
Opinion: This was an interesting way to bring Hayter back, which was made even odder as she looked rather different than in her previous appearances. Hayter is someone who could be a very nice addition to the women’s division and AEW could certainly use her. It helps to have someone fresh come in, which has been one of AEW’s strengths over the years. Now just get the followup right.
What did you think of Hayter’s debut? Who should she face first? Let us know in the comments below.
