If you can afford it. There are very few wrestlers or personalities in wrestling like John Cena. He is one of the few starts who came close to transcending WWE and that is the kind of thing that almost no one else is able to do. His time on top of WWE was as clear of a run of dominance as the company has seen in a long time as there was no question about who the top star in the company was. Cena has mostly moved on from WWE as he moved on to Hollywood, but that does not mean he no longer deserves some extra attention when he does something cool.

Cena has posted a new video on his Twitter account to talk about National First Responders Day. The video, released in association with the premiere of Cena’s new movie Playing With Fire as well as the recent wildfires in California. Cena uses the video to announce that, in association with Paramount Pictures, a pair of California based firefighting charities will be receiving a donation of $500,000. Paramount Pictures responded by saying that the two charities, the California Fire Foundation and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, will be splitting the donation. Cena responded and asked fans to donate further.

Opinion: This is one of those things that is just cool. These firefighters are out there doing everything they can to help prevent natural disasters and helping them out is always a good thing. Cena is the kind of celebrity who can get some attention on something like this and that is rather nice to hear. Yes it helps promote his new movie but if someone else can benefit at the same time, there is nothing wrong with that. Cena has been known for his charity work for a long time now and you can tell it means something to him when he does something like this.
