He has the value. There are so many people in the wrestling industry today and that makes it really hard to stand out. It takes a special kind of talent to rise above the rest and get some attention, which is what makes someone like that so special. Standing out like that can be even more impressive when someone pops up out of nowhere, which was the case last year. Now that someone might be going elsewhere.
One of the biggest stories from last year was the rise of Pat McAfee as the biggest surprises NXT had ever seen. McAfee debuted and was instantly one of the most impressive villains the promotion had ever seen. He could talk like few others and wound up showcasing himself very well in the ring. That was as nice of a surprise as could get, but now he might be heading elsewhere.
This could mean something. Check out what McAfee is up to:
McAfee has posted a video to Twitter showing him packing a bag, including the gear that he used when he wrestled in NXT. This has led to speculation that McAfee could be appearing at AEW Revolution in one of the two mystery roles advertised. Paul Wight had promised that AEW will announced a “Hall of Fame worthy” signing, along with an open spot in a ladder match. There is no word on who will fill in either of the spots.
You can see why McAfee would be wanted. Check out what he did in NXT:
Opinion: I’m not sure who is going to take those two spots but the speculation is always fun. McAfee would surprise me quite a bit and if I had to guess, that video is designed to mess with the fans more than anything else. I wouldn’t be overly upset if McAfee jumped, but NXT has been a great place for him and I would love to see what else he can do there if he sticks around.
