WWE has released a clip of the New Age Outlaws winning their first World Tag Team Titles from the Legion of Doom, who had come back to the company in a bit of a nostalgia run. This allowed the Outlaws to rebel against the legendary team, despite being a team who would seem to be little more than target practice for the Legion of Doom. Here’s the clip of the title change:

The Legion of Doom vs. The New Age Outlaws - World Tag Team Championship Match: Raw, Nov. 24, 1997
Opinion: It has to start somewhere. The New Age Outlaws winning the titles was one of the first major changes towards the Attitude Era with the far less dominant wrestlers being shifted out for the sake of the more entertaining acts. The Outlaws were far from technically sound but there’s no hiding the fact that they had a ton of charisma and the fans loved them. It took some time to get going but eventually it clicked and clicked hard.
