Guess who was back(stage). Earlier this week, WWE presented “Survivor Series 2017” from Houston, Texas. This was part of a long series of shows taking place in the city as WWE continues its idea of putting the Big Four pay per views and the accompanying NXT Takeover and “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” events in the same city. However, that city is the hometown of a certain WWE legend, who was backstage at the show.

On the latest edition of his “Dinner with the King” podcast, Jerry Lawler talked about the Undertaker being backstage at “Survivor Series”. Lawler says he watched the show with Undertaker and Kane and thinks that Undertaker looked good enough to be back in the ring. Here are a few highlights with transcription courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com:

On How Undertaker Looked

“I think he might have looked too good. I think when you get when you hang around or you show up and you look that good, they in the WWE, they’re ready for you to come back. You know, closer to the time after WrestleMania and I think I said that I believe we’ve seen the last of Undertaker in the ring. Now, I’m going to I’m going to go back on my word. Just looking at him the other night, I think there’s some more matches left in the Undertaker.”

On Who Watched the Show with Them

“So there’s a TV and monitor to watch the show. There were three seats. Three chairs in front of the monitor and I was sitting in the one on the left hand side and in the middle now, to my right, sitting next to me, was Undertaker. And to his right sitting next to him was Kane.”

In case you haven’t had enough Undertaker recently.

And On Who Came By

“We were all just sitting here watching the show talking about old times and stuff, and all of a sudden, the door happened to be open. All of a sudden, we saw John Cena. He went past the door and glanced in, and then he just went past. Suddenly we saw him backing up, he just backed up, and he looked in at the three of us sitting there – and he said, ‘that’s pretty cool.’ And he just walked on.”

Opinion: It’s good to hear that Undertaker is looking like he’s in good shape but I really hope he doesn’t get back in the ring. I have no idea what the point would be in having him come back other than a cheap reaction, especially after his not great performance at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”. His post-match moment was as perfect as it could have been and there’s no need to have him come back and make things worse.

Do you think Undertaker will have one more match? Do you want him to? Let us know in the comments below.
