Well they have a lot to pick from. Over the years, Impact Wrestling has done all over the place with some of their ideas. The company has done things like the Last Rites match, the electrified steel cage match and of course the reverse battle royal. While things have gotten better in the last few months, they still have a long history that really can’t be ignored, especially when Impact Wrestling is looking back at them.
This is a heck of a ride.
Impact wrestling has posted a new video to their YouTube page looking back at the 5 Strangest Match Stipulations in the company’s history. Some of the matches even include multiple stipulations being combined into one single match for combinations that have never been done either before or since. One of the matches even featured hitting someone in the face with multiple frozen fish.
Opinion: I mean, you can’t say they’re not creative with some of these things and it’s not like WWE hasn’t done some of their own insane ideas every now and then. The problem is you can get away with some of these things when you have some better stuff going on but Impact Wrestling hasn’t been the best received (or watched) wrestling promotion and these are some of the “highlights” of those lower years. Things have seemed to get a lot better in recent months, but the history is still there.
Which of these was your favorite? What did Impact Wrestling leave off the list? Let us know in the comments below.
