Not so fast mis amigos. To say that Pentagon Jr. and Fenix have taken the independent wrestling scene by storm is an understatement. They’re one of the hottest acts in wrestling and that means it was a matter of time until WWE came calling. That seemed to be the case recently, but it turns out that this might not be as simple of a move as it might have seemed to be.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix aren’t currently allowed to sign with the company due to their Lucha Underground contracts. However, the contracts are expected to expire at the end of Season Four, which should wrap up at some point in early 2019. The season is scheduled to feature twenty two episodes and, as of last night, fourteen have aired. There is no word on any break in the season, which Lucha Underground regularly features.

Opinion:
With the kind of talent that those two have, it’s hard to imagine that these two don’t wind up in WWE at some point. At the end of the day, money really isn’t an object for the company and they can buy whoever they want. If WWE wants the two of them and they’re interested, the deal is likely to be made at some point. Assuming the talents are that important, WWE will pay whatever it costs to make Lucha Underground happy. It’s certainly not out of the question.
