Eva Marie Sounds Off On Nike/Colin Kaepernick Controversy

The fire is still there even though the red hair is gone. Eva Marie was one of the most polarizing figures in recent WWE history. She certainly had a personality and was someone who could talk quite well, though her in-ring abilities weren’t the strongest in the world. While she hasn’t had the most noteworthy status since leaving WWE, she still does get her name out there every now and then, which she has done again.

She has a lot to say.

In a new YouTube video, Eva Marie and her husband Jonathan Coyle talked about the recent controversial Nike ad featuring inactive NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the response from Donald Trump. Eva Marie doesn’t care for the ad due to her father losing one of his friends in the Vietnam War, as the ad talks about sacrificing everything for what you believe in.

Opinion: I’ll stay away from the political aspect of this and talk about Eva Marie in general instead. I can’t say I’m surprised that she’s not back in wrestling yet as other than looking great in the gear, she didn’t have anything to offer other than being a manager. The problem with that the era of the good looking valet has gone away for the most part as you almost have to be able to wrestle a match, even to a low degree, at some point anymore. Maybe she’ll be back at some point, but I don’t see it happening in a major promotion.
