Fare thee well. A retirement is a weird thing in wrestling as you never know how serious it actually is. Almost no wrestler is actually done when they say they’re done, though the announcement that their in-ring career is over is often the biggest statement they make in their career. Some of them are a lot bigger than others, and in this case one of them wasn’t even on a wrestling show.

It’s certainly a unique location. Check out the retirement announcement:

On the most recent episode of Total Bellas, Brie Bella announced that she was wrapping up her career after Evolution (which took place in October) and officially retiring. Bella’s last match was a six woman tag on the October 8, 2018 Monday Night Raw when she teamed with her sister Nikki and Ronda Rousey to defeat the Riott Squad. Bella debuted in 2007 and won the Divas Title in 2011, holding it for ten weeks.

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world as Bella hasn’t exactly been a regular competitor for a long time now. She more or less retired in 2016 and had one more run with the company in 2018. She and Nikki will likely continue to be associated with WWE for a long time to come due to their reality shows, which will keep them relevant for years. I’m not sure when Nikki will wrestle again, but it’s hard to imagine that she doesn’t.
