Never say never? There are a lot of injuries in wrestling and some of them are a good bit more serious than others. Those can be rather scary at times, because you never know how long someone is going to be on the shelf. Some of the worst kind can finish someone’s career, but they can also put you on the sidelines for what feels like forever. In some cases it can be years, but that doesn’t mean things are done.
Concussions can be a scary thing as their effects can last for a very, very long time. That is the case with anyone as there is no way to protect the inside of your head. Every now and then you see someone forced to retire from the ring because of their head injuries and that is a horrible thing to have happen. However, the results may not be forever, which is where we are tonight.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Randy Orton spoke about ending Edge’s career again. Edge’s best friend Christian interrupted and confronted Orton, who thought that Christian wanted one more match. As a result, Orton challenged Christian to an unsanctioned match, which Christian accepted later in the night. The match saw Ric Flair give Christian a low blow and Orton hit a Punt to win in just over a minute. This was Christian’s first match since the March 23, 2014 Monday Night Raw.
Blink and you’ll miss it. Check out what went down:
Opinion: This could be a big surprise if we actually go in this direction, though you can feel the cinematic match machine being fired up from here. It’s something a lot of fans have wanted to see for a good while now, and hopefully they can come up with something creative. Christian coming back could be interesting, though I’m a little scared about how it is going to be presented.
What do you expect from the match? Will Christian wrestle again? Let us know in the comments below.
