The last minute addition. Backlash is taking place on Sunday and that means there are a lot of things that need to take place on the show. With so many things already added to the card, there isn’t much more room to go around. That being said, there are still a few more things that could be added, and one of them is something that has been built up for weeks now.

Over the course of the last month plus, the Street Profits and the Viking Raiders have engaged in a rivalry over anything but professional wrestling. The two teams have competed in a variety of competitions, including bowling, basketball, axe throwing and more. This has left the Profits’ Raw Tag Team Titles somewhat frozen, but that is going to change this weekend.

WWE.com has announced that the Street Profits will defend their Raw Tag Team Titles against the Viking Raiders at Backlash. The two teams have met several times before with the Profits never being able to defeat the Raiders. Their most recent match came on the Monday Night Raw before Money in the Bank, with the Raiders winning in a non-title match. This will be the first title defense since the April 6 Monday Night Raw.

They certainly have a history. Check out some of their times together:

Opinion: It’s about time. This is something that is long overdue and I’m rather pleased that we’re getting an actual match between these teams instead of some other non-wrestling competition. There was little need to have this stretched out so far, especially after the Raiders beat the champs in a non-title match which has barely been mentioned since. Now get on with it, as should have been the case a month ago.
