Hopefully it isn’t too bad. You never know when you might see an injury take place in professional wrestling. It is part of the nature of the industry and an injury could happen on anything from a basic move to a big spot in a major match. One of the worst parts is you can almost never tell how bad it is at the time. There might have been another one on Sunday night.
On Sunday at Hell In A Cell, Roman Reigns speared Erick Rowan off of the announcers’ table. After landing, Reigns clutched his knee and screamed in pain, suggesting that he had injured his knee or leg in the process. Reigns did go on to finish the match, though he limped to the back after he and Daniel Bryan defeated Rowan and Luke Harper. There is no word on if Reigns will miss any time due to his knee.
It didn’t look great. Check out Reigns’ landing and exit:
Opinion: You never can tell what something like this is going to do but it didn’t look very good either way. Reigns being able to finish the match and hit his signature moves would suggest that he is going to be ok, but you never can tell how bad something like this is until he gets a better examination. There is a good chance we will see Reigns this week and we should know more then.
