They have some interesting priorities. In addition to being the debut episode of SmackDown on FOX, this week’s show was also the twentieth anniversary edition of the show. This meant that WWE was going to be opening up the history books to look back at what had happened over the years. Various legends were included, but one major name was lacking.

Saturday morning on Instagram, Undertaker was asked why he was did not appear on SmackDown. Undertaker responded by saying that he was at the show and told that he was not needed. Undertaker had been advertised for the show, along with both Steve Austin and Sting, neither of whom appeared on the show either. There is no word on why Undertaker did not appear or when he is scheduled to appear again.

Undertaker has been around SmackDown lately. Check out one of his most recent appearances:

Opinion: I’m really not sure how to take this one as there is no reason to not have Undertaker appear. There are very few names who are as iconic as Undertaker but that did not seem to matter last night. One of the few bigger names, Hulk Hogan, was nearly cut from the show due to timing issues as he only appeared in a very brief cameo as the show came back from a break. I don’t know if this was a timing thing or what, but telling Undertaker he is not needed is quite the questionable move to make.
