So much for that. Tag Teams have a weird history in WWE. They have been around for a long time throughout the company’s existence, but they also have been known to be split up in a hurry. These splits can cause quite the issues at times, often leading into a feud between the former partners. That seems to be the case again, as another team has gone their separate ways.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley and Nikki Ash split up to officially end their team. The split came after the team had lost several matches, along with their WWE Wome’s Tag Team Titles. Ash believed that Ripley felt she was better and, after a hug between the two, attacked Ripley. After leaving the ring, Ash said that superheroes did not need friends.
This got serious in a hurry. Check out how the split happened, plus the two in action on their own:
Opinion: This is long, long overdue as the team wasn’t working and there was no reason to keep the two of them in such a mess. Let them go their separate ways, hopefully with Ash getting to turn heel as she needs to. Ripley never seemed right in a tag team and maybe now she can get back to being a singles star. At least this split took place a lot faster than some others, as there are times when WWE won’t just cut their losses fast enough.
