It should mean a bit more than this. With WrestleMania 35 right around the corner, it’s time to get going with everything else going on. In addition to all of the independent shows, there’s all kinds of WWE stuff to cover, including the NXT Takeover event, the post WrestleMania Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live, but also the Hall of Fame class. So why haven’t we heard anything about it yet?
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is taking its time with the Hall of Fame class because it just isn’t that big of a priority this year. While there have been a few names rumored for induction, such as the Undertaker, Batista and Bam Bam Bigelow, no one has become a definitive pick to be in and no one has been officially announced. The ceremony will take place the night before WrestleMania 35 on April 6.
The Hall of Fame can be really cool. Check out a look at a recent class:
Opinion: I know it’s not much of a big deal a lot of the time and the induction process is pretty much a joke, but it’s still cool to see some of those legends get to come out there one more time. If nothing else, the debate about who should or shouldn’t be in is entertaining in its own right. There are names who belong in, and if we get to see some of them make it, things are that much more fun.
