It’s a different way of doing it. We are on the Road To WrestleMania and while that means that we are coming up on one of the biggest shows of the year, it also means that we are coming up on Wrestlemania weekend. WWE takes over a number of days, offering a variety of material over the course of most of a week. One such thing that was missing last year is coming back, though in a different format.

There are a lot of championships in WWE but those are titles that are going to come and go with a single reign. A wrestler can get their title back but at some point they are going to lose it again. There are very few things that the company can offer that will stay around forever but the Hall Of Fame is one of them. There was a class last year, though it was never inducted. It seems that there will be one this year as well, and now we know how things will be going.

According to Fightful Select, this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony will be taped in advance rather than airing live. The ceremony will honor both the 2020 and 2021 classes and will air on Peacock on April 6, the Tuesday before WrestleMania 37. There was no induction for the class of 2020, which included the NWO, Batista, the British Bulldog, the Bella Twins John Bradshaw Layfield and Jushin thunder Liger. The only name confirmed for this year’s class is Molly Holly.

They have a heck of a class this year. Check out who is being celebrated:

The Bella Twins announced as WWE Hall of Fame inductees: SmackDown, Feb. 21, 2020

The British Bulldog is a WWE Hall of Famer: WWE After the Bell, March 12, 2020

Molly Holly surprised by WWE Hall of Fame announcement: WWE’s The Bump, March 10, 2021

Opinion: This is about the only way to do something like this and while that might not be the most fun method, it is better than nothing. These wrestlers will still be recognized and get their big moment, though it won’t be inside a huge arena. At the end of the day though, with so many changes already having been made, this is about as good as you are going to get and people are just going to have to live with it.
