What could have been. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works and that has become more and more obvious every single day. Every wrestling company has had to change its plans but most of the bigger ones have managed to survive in one way or another. WWE has been the same, but now we know what might have been had things not changed.

An athlete from another sport coming into the wrestling world can be one of the most interesting things you see from any given promotion. It is a very simple concept of seeing what another sport can do in wrestling and it has had some success over the years. WWE has capitalized on the idea before and will continue to do so in the future, but they had to cancel some huge plans from last year.

In a new interview with Behind The Gloves, world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury revealed that he was planned to wrestle on three WWE shows in 2020. Fury revealed that he was scheduled to appear at WrestleMania 36, Summerslam and at an unnamed British pay per view, where he would have fought WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. Fury did wrestle Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in 2019, defeating him via countout. There is no word on if Fury and WWE will work together in the future.

Fury has the charisma to make wrestling work. Check out what he did in WWE:

Braun Strowman battles Tyson Fury in earth-shattering match: WWE Crown Jewel 2019 (WWE Network)

Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman team up to drop The B-Team: SmackDown, Nov 8, 2019

Opinion: This is something that could work in the future, as Fury is someone with all of the skills that you could need to succeed in the wrestling world. Throw in the fact that he is already a mainstream professional athlete and it could work out rather well. His first match was far from an embarrassment and having him as a special attraction could be a good idea for both sides.
