Not just yet? The rise of AEW has opened up several new doors for wrestlers in the last year and a half and that is a very good thing. After decades of WWE being almost the only major place for wrestlers to go, AEW has offered a new platform for several names and many of them have taken them up on it. Not everyone can get in though and one controversial name will not be around at the moment.
Since leaving WWE, Ryback has had quite a few different things to say and some of them have not expect been a little bit out there. Some claims that he has made do not exactly line up with various other accounts of the same issues and there are a few things he has said that have raised some eyebrows. That was the case again last week, and now what he does not seem to be accurate.
According to F4WOnline.com, Ryback will not be signing with AEW at the moment. Last week Ryback made a statement that he was coming to the competition to defeat WWE in the ratings, though he never actually specified which show he would be appearing on. There is no word on Ryback signing elsewhere or where he might be appearing. Ryback’s most recent match took place on August 25, 2018.
Opinion: I’m slightly curious about what Ryback was talking about but at the same time I’m not sure how much of an impact he would make today anyway. He was a star in WWE but he was never the World Champion and did not exactly blow the doors off on his way out. Maybe he could be a big deal in one company or another, but it isn’t like John Cena is coming through the doors.
