Update on Paige and “Total Divas,” Break up With Alberto El Patron

The gift that keeps on giving. There are very few personalities in wrestling today who are as active outside of the ring as Paige. It seems that there’s something new about her almost every single day. That’s the case again today and this time, it’s related to both her personal life as well as her future on “Total Divas”.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of Wrestlinginc.com, Paige will not be appearing on the upcoming season of “Total Divas”. Instead, she will be replaced by newcomer Carmella, who will join fellow new cast members Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss, who are replacing the departing Renee Young and Eva Marie.

On the personal side, a friend of Alberto El Patron has confirmed that Paige and El Patron have officially broken up. While there is always the chance that they’ll get back together in the future, they’re done for the moment. As previously reported, the two had a major blow up in Orlando over the weekend and they’re done for the moment.

Opinion: I have no idea if Paige and El Patron are going to get back together and live happily ever after or if they’ll never see each other again. However, leaving “Total Divas” is far from surprising. She hasn’t been on WWE TV for the better part of a year now and there’s no reason to keep her on the show while there are other, active people to take the spot.
