There’s no good way to put this one. This past Monday saw Big Cass vs. Enzo Amore end prematurely when Big Cass went down with a knee injury. The first report said that the injury was legitimate but it wasn’t clear how just how bad it was. As it turns out, the injury is about as bad as it could have been.

According to WWE.com, it appears that Big Cass has an ACL tear and perhaps a meniscus tear. That’s a very severe injury with the ACL tear possibly putting him on the shelf for up to nine months. That time table would mean Big Cass would be out until late May 2018 at the very best.

Here’s how the injury took place.

Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass - Brooklyn Street Fight: Raw, Aug. 21, 2017

Opinion: Ouch. There’s no positive way to spin this one as this is a career changing injury. In addition to the long layoff time, there’s the timing of the injury itself. Big Cass seemed ready to break into his own but now his career almost resets. Hopefully he’s back sooner rather than later but more hopefully this is a one off thing and not the start of recurring knee injuries.

How do you think this will impact Big Cass’ career in the long run? What do you want him to do when he returns? Let us know in the comments below.
