He doesn’t sound like he’s playing. While a lot of people have grown tired of Triple H’s time in the ring, far fewer seem to be tired of his work running the NXT developmental territory. Triple H has taken the territory from little more than a footnote to one of the most popular promotions in the wrestling world. However, a recent string of callups to the main roster have left the brand in less than stellar shape.
Triple H seems to have taken notice of these changes and doesn’t seem happy about it. He commented on the subject during the media call for “Takeover: San Antonio”. Here are his remarks on the state of NXT (transcript courtesy of WrestleZone.com):
It’s kind of hard to disagree with him. With so much talent being taken off the roster and leaving it so barren, there’s only so much that can be done. That being said, the promotion is far from horrible and this weekend’s show could be the kind of show that pulls it out of the its funk. Bringing in some fresh talent would help too and some new signings could fix the problem.
