Round up the usual suspects. With two days to go before “Royal Rumble 2017” and eight spots left to go in the battle royal, there are a few names that are almost guaranteed to come up for discussion every single year. That’s the case this year as well and we’ve got some updates on their potential for the Royal Rumble.

Hulk Hogan will be in Los Angeles over the weekend and isn’t happening.

Kurt Angle has told TMZ that there is no way that he’ll be in the match.

Konnan has said that Rey Mysterio’s Lucha Underground contract has expired and therefore he could be in the match if WWE is interested.

Of these three, I really don’t think anyone was expecting Hogan to be in the match in the first place, though I think he’ll wind up back in WWE at some point. I wouldn’t see the point of having Angle put in the Rumble as he’s going into the Hall of Fame in about two months and there’s no need to have him go into a match and lose. Mysterio could be interesting as a surprise but nothing all that serious.
