Every second counts. We are less than three days away from Summerslam and that means the card is mostly set. Earlier this week, a match between Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch was made for the August 14 Monday Night Raw. According to Fightful Select, the match was not added to Summerslam because WWE is strict about the running time of its events. As a result, WWE has not been adding matches to the card despite setting them up on television. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is attempting to fit a Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez match on the card if they have the time. Opinion: It’s nice to see WWE planning things ahead like this, for the sake of not spreading the show far too thin. At some point there has to be a limit on things to avoid the show from going on for several hours. Summerslam is a big show but that does not mean it needs to go on for such a long time. The card is looking solid enough and the other matches can take place later if need be, as things are already looking good for Summerslam.
