That’s why they do it. There are all kinds of WWE events throughout the course of a year and some of them are a lot more important than others. Above all others though is WrestleMania, which has long since been presented as the top night on the WWE calendar. The show has grown to a double night spectacle, and now we can see another reason why it is such a big deal.

WWE has announced that WrestleMania 39, which took place in April in the Los Angeles, California area, generated $215 million for the city. The announcement says that fans stayed an average of 4.1 nights in the area and more than half of the attendees were from outside southern California. 15% of the attendees came from international markets. Next year’s WrestleMania 40 will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 6 and 7.

Opinion: And that is why you have so many cities bidding to host WrestleMania. You do not see anything like that from another show and it is a big deal to see WrestleMania come to any city. That is an obscene amount of money to bring to any location and it makes sense when you realize just how big WrestleMania has become. The fact that it might get even bigger in the future is all the more impressive and shows just how powerful WWE is.
