That isn’t very long. There have been a lot of changes taking place in WWE in recent months including several roster moves. This has included multiple wrestlers coming and going from the company, in addition to wrestlers having their contracts coming up in the short term. Now we can add another name to that list, as a top WWE Superstar has revealed an important detail about his current contract.

During an interview with Metro, Kevin Owens revealed that he has nine months remaining on his current WWE contract. This would mean his deal expires in February 2025. There is no word on any negotiations between the two sides, though under the new ownership, WWE has been waiting until closer to renewal time to negotiate. This was true with Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins, all of whom have signed new deals.

Opinion: This is one of those situations that could make for an interesting result but it is hard to imagine that Owens isn’t re-signed, assuming he wants to be. Owens has main evented WrestleMania twice and that is not someone WWE is going to let walk away without an effort. I would be surprised if the two didn’t come to terms on a new deal, but it might take some time to get there.
