Getting There: Details On WWE's Future WrestleMania Plans Before Endeavor Sale

Future plans? Over the weekend, WWE announced the location for WrestleMania 41, with the show being set for Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. This will mark the first time WrestleMania has been held in Nevada since 1993. It also comes after rumors of Minneapolis getting the show and placing a bid to host. Now we know where the show might be going in the future, or at least what else was considered.

According to PWInsider.com, there were multiple cities eyed as potential Wrestlemania host before WWE was sold to Endeavor last year. Former WWE EVP of Special Events John Saboor had considered New Orleans, Las Vegas and Orlando as potential WrestleMania locations. Endeavor is expected to consider each host city by the amount of money they are willing to pay, meaning Orlando and New Orleans are not locks for future hosts.

Opinion: While it is rather disappointing for the cities that seemed likely to be getting WrestleMania, it makes sense that the new owners are going to want to go in a different direction. WrestleMania is by far the biggest WWE event of the year and the company is going to go out of its way to get the best deals they can, wherever those might lead them. If nothing else, it makes for some surprises, though hopefully some other cities can get in on the show sooner than later.
