They must be doing something right. WWE is in a very different place than it was just a few months ago and that should not be the biggest surprise. The company is under different leadership now, which has not been the case since the early 1980s. Things have felt bigger and better as a result and now it turns out that some people with some important roles are rather pleased.
According to Fightful Select, USA and NBC Universal employees are pleased with the recent changes to Monday Night Raw and the increase in ratings that have come with the changes. The changes to the show have made it more “appointment viewing” and that it feels more natural in recent weeks. These positive changes have led one employee to believe that USA will want to secure a new television deal with WWE next year.
Opinion: What else is there to say here? The show has been that much better in recent weeks and someone with some authority is starting to care about it. That is one of the best things that can happen, as more people are watching the show than have in a long time and the numbers are backing up their success. Now though, WWE needs to keep it up, and that is going to be difficult with Monday Night Football looming.
