Next to go? There are a lot of changes taking place in the world of wrestling these days and a lot more of them have been going on in recent weeks. For the first time in a long time, WWE has started to release some wrestlers from their contracts, often after those wrestlers have made an effort to get out of their deals. That makes things a lot more interesting in the future, which may be the case for a pair of wrestlers.

There have been a lot of wrestlers trying to get out of their WWE contracts this year but one of the most prominent has been Mike Kanellis, who has openly complained about his lack of ring time. The bigger question though is what it would mean for his wife Maria, who is currently on pregnancy leave for the second time since signing with the company in 2017. Things might be changing though, and maybe not in a good way.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray discussed Mike and Maria not being allowed to leave WWE, possibly due to misleading the company during their contract negotiations. Ray made it clear that he did not know this to be a fact but that WWE may have wanted to get their money’s worth out of the two of them as they had signed new contracts.

The two of them can make a good couple. Check out their attempts to go after another WWE couple:

Opinion: This is such a fascinating situation as Mike and Maria clearly do not want to be in WWE and the company has no interest in using them, but the two of them are getting a lot of time and money from the company. That takes some business savvy and the two of them are showcasing it rather well. If nothing else, Maria is getting paid while preparing to have a baby and making very few appearances, which is quite impressive.

Will Mike and Maria ever appear in WWE again? Where will they wind up? Let us know in the comments below.
