They had to hurry. This week on Monday Night Raw, both the King Of The Ring and Queen Of The Ring tournaments began. The tournaments will both conclude on Saturday May 25 and that means there is only so much time to get everything together. WWE did not seem to understand that problem and had to change plans, which has made for a rather different situation.

This week’s Monday Night Raw featured three first round matches in both tournaments, with promises that some of the first round will take place at live events rather than on television. According to Fightful Select by way of Wrestlingnews.co, this was due to time constraints. All of the first round was originally scheduled for television but now two Monday Night Raw matches and some SmackDown will take place at live events instead.

Opinion: That makes sense and I would much rather have the matches take place at a live event where they can be given more time and hopefully advance things better than they would have had they been stuck on a cramped card. The tournaments have potential and it is nice to see them getting their chance rather than doing everything they can rather than Just dealing with TV.
