That’s quite the relief. When they first happen, it can be hard to tell how bad an injury is going to be. Some of them can be pretty obviously terrible, but there are times when it might not be that clear. The trickiest are the ones where someone is being evaluated on a day to day basis as you could feel fine but then exacerbate the injury all over again. Couple that with it being something like a neck and it is even more difficult to lock down. That was the case in WWE over the last few days but we have a positive update.
According to Ringsidenews.com, Roman Reigns defeated Erick Rowan in a street fight on Tuesday in Brisbane, Australia. This comes a day after Reigns was thought to have suffered a stinger or some sort of neck injury in a tag team match, meaning that the injury does not seem to have been severe. Reigns would have had to have been medically cleared to return to the ring on Tuesday, meaning the injury was not that bad. Reigns did finish the tag match on Monday but asked for the medical staff to check on him after the match was finished.
Reigns was in action twice last week. Check out the second one:
Opinion: This is a very good sign as Reigns has had his share of medical issues in recent months. The neck is the kind of injury that you have to be extra careful about as you can’t really tell how things are going to go with it until the next few days. The fact that Reigns is already back in the ring says that he seemed to have just been banged up once and then bounced back from it. There are always going to be injuries in wrestling and thankfully this one doesn’t seem to be too bad, which is a huge relief on a lot of levels.
