That’s a big one. We’re coming up on the Royal Rumble and that means we need a lot of people being added to the field. There are several spots available, with some of the biggest names in the promotion likely coming into the match with a shot at going to the main event of WrestleMania. Some people won’t have much of a chance, but there are names that you could see winning, including someone who was announced Friday night.
In a new video posted to WWE’s Twitter, Finn Balor announced that he will be in the Royal Rumble. Balor’s entry marks the sixth entry into the match and the second name from Monday Night Raw, along with Drew McIntyre. Balor is a former Universal Champion who was stripped of the title the night after he won it. He has recently been talking about wanting to get the title back.
And of course, there’s one thing to play here. Check out Balor’s announcement, with the traditional charm:
Opinion: Balor might be a dark horse to win the whole thing and the kind of person who needs to be added into the match. There might be some other names who are more likely winners, but at least he’ll have the chance and can add some drama. Balor is still a big name and the kind of guy who could go somewhere if he is given the chance. It’s not like Monday Night Raw has that many other options.
Do you think Balor will make a deep run in the match? Will he be World Champion again? Let us know in the comments below.
