That’s Not Good: New Detail On Drew McIntyre And WWE’s Future (And It’s Not Positive)

That’s a bad sign. There are a lot of talented stars on the WWE roster, some of whom are the biggest names in wrestling today. Getting up to the top of the company can be the peak of many careers and it means something when one of those wrestlers finish up with WWE. While that might not be the case just yet, it is not exactly looking good for his future with the company.

Over the last few weeks, there have reportedly been issues between Drew McIntyre and WWE over McIntyre’s next contract. While McIntyre has several months left on his current deal, the two sides are reportedly far apart on a new deal in terms of money and creative. McIntyre has since blacked out his Twitter account, removing the image and all references to WWE, though his handle is still “DMcIntyreWWE”. There is no word on if this is a legitimate issue or part of a storyline. McIntyre has not appeared since losing a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 39.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with McIntyre but it would be quite the loss to have him leave the company. There would be multiple promotions coming up to him with lucrative contracts in hand, so WWE might want to whatever they can to keep him. At the same time, McIntyre just might not want to stick around and that could make for some interesting moments going forward.
