And so, it ended. The “Monday Night Raw” tag team division isn’t the deepest in the world right now but it does have a few acts. With the Hardys on top there’s always potential to go somewhere but as of tonight, one of the acts seemed to have split for good and it wasn’t a pretty sight.
Tonight on “Monday Night Raw”, Goldust turned on his Golden Truth partner R-Truth and turned heel, splitting up the team. The team formed last year and hasn’t had the greatest success. The breaking point seemed to be last week when they lost in the final match of Tag Team Turmoil. Goldust had implied that the team would be done if they lost the match, which saw them face an exhausted Sheamus and Cesaro.
Opinion: I know the tag division is thin but was anyone going to buy Golden Truth as something of value? They’re little more than a comedy team so just have them go their separate ways and do a match or two. This doesn’t really change anything and there’s nothing wrong with advancing their stories instead of leaving them in a nothing story.
