That’s never good to hear. Injuries can happen to anyone at any time and they are never a good thing. Someone can be on the roll of a lifetime and be taken down by something happening to them. What can make it even worse is if it happens when they are getting ready for a major show. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again, as another star is going on the injured list.
SmackDown’s Xavier Woods appeared on an Attack Of The Show livestream and revealed that he suffered an injury during the New Day’s match vs. the Usos on January 7. Woods tore the plantaris muscle in his calf while hitting a DDT on the floor, which will put him out from four to six weeks, meaning he will likely miss the Royal Rumble but should be back in time for WrestleMania.
Woods is pretty awesome. Check out what he can do when he is healthy:
Opinion: That is never good to hear and it is a shame that Woods is going to be out of action. At least it is four to six weeks rather than four to six months, though it is still hardly a good thing. Hopefully Woods can get back in the ring sooner rather than later because he brings so much energy to SmackDown. One bright spot about this is how Woods has another gig outside of wrestling, which is not something everyone can say.
What do you think of Woods? What should he do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
