According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of SmackDown Live drew 2.195 million viewers, which is the same as last week’s show. This is still the lowest audience that the show has had since last year’s Halloween episode, though the show did draw the highest 18-49 demographic rating of the night. This week’s show was headlined by a Money in the Bank qualifying match between Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe and Big Cass with Samoa Joe winning.

Opinion: Really, it’s not even surprising anymore. Why would I want to watch a show where the big match is just a way to get into the next big match? On top of that, how many fans didn’t watch with the theory (proven correct) that they wouldn’t get to see the advertised main event? WWE has given us no reason to watch the TV shows at the moment and it’s no shock that the numbers have stayed bad. There was no NBA or NHL playoff game to contend with, so the only answer is fans aren’t interested.
