The Tuesday night sports problem. While “Monday Night Raw” regularly has to deal with “Monday Night Football”, it’s rare for “Smackdown Live” to have a similar problem. Tuesday night isn’t a big night for mainstream sports most of the time, but that wasn’t the case this week. This time around there was a Major League Baseball playoff game and the question was how much it would impact “Smackdown Live”.

According to Showbuzz Daily, this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live” drew a .74 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.323 million viewers. These numbers are down 10% from last week’s .82 rating and down 9% from last week’s 2.542 million viewers. This week’s show was headlined by a face to face confrontation between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon before their showdown this Sunday.

In case you didn’t see it, here are last night’s highlights:

Top 10 SmackDown LIVE moments: WWE Top 10, October 3, 2017

Opinion: AJ Styles rarely wrestles on the show, Shinsuke Nakamura rarely wrestles on the show, New Day rarely wrestles on the show and Jinder Mahal is the World Champion. Who is going to pay good money to come to this show and watch most of the bigger names either talk every week or have a match that isn’t even two minutes long? It’s not thrilling TV at this point and the other factors are making it even worse.

What did you think of this week’s show? What is the show’s biggest problem at this point? Let us know in the comments below.
