He’s busy. Wrestlers are an interesting cage when it comes to being a celebrity, as they are often regulars on television, but that does not mean they are household names. Being a wrestler means that you are known for more or less one thing, though there are instances of someone branching out. That might be the case again, as a WWE star has landed a movie role.

According to PWInsider.com, Monday Night Raw star Drew McIntyre will be absent from next week’s show. McIntyre has reportedly been cast in the film The Killer’s Game, co-starring Dave Bautista, and will miss the show due to his filming commitments. There is no word on when he will be returning to action. This week on Monday Night Raw, McIntyre teamed with Matt Riddle to defeat Imperium.

Opinion: This makes some sense and it isn’t a shock that one of the bigger stars in WWE, both literally and figuratively, are getting this kind of shot. McIntyre has been one of the workhorses for WWE and it is nice to see him getting to do something like this. I’m not sure how much of a career he would have in acting, but it must be cool to at least have a role like this one.
