Just in case they didn’t have enough injuries. We’re less than two weeks away from Elimination Chamber, meaning we’re less than two weeks away from crowning the first WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This is a big deal for WWE as they have never had tag titles for women (or at least not in about thirty years, as WWE doesn’t seem interested in mentioning the original version) but there might be an issue on the way there.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Sasha Banks, who is scheduled to team with Bayley in the Elimination Chamber match to crown the inaugural champions, is still currently injured and may not be able to wrestle in the match. Banks was injured in her match against Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble and has yet to be cleared. She was officially part of a tag match this Monday night but was attacked before the bell and never tagged in. WWE is confident that Banks will be able to compete.
See Banks not wrestle. Check out how she can contribute without getting in the ring:
Opinion: I probably should be used to this by now as Banks tends to be injured at least a few times a year. She and Bayley are going to be some of the favorites in the match and it would be a shame if they weren’t able to compete at a high level. They don’t have to win the match but it wouldn’t feel right if they weren’t able to get anything out of the match, which has been set up for so long now.
Do you think Banks will be able to compete? Who should win the titles? Let us know in the comments below.
