This is the biggest yet. AEW has shaken up the wrestling world, which is rather impressive considering that they haven’t actually had a show yet. They’re still in the planning stages of everything and while they have a few names signed, their first show isn’t taking place for three and a half months. They need something to keep up momentum, and now they have a hope spot.

According to the Fightful Post-SmackDown Live Podcast, Randy Orton is willing to talk to AEW about jumping to the new promotion. This does not mean that Orton has been offered a deal or that he has already talked to them. There is currently no word on when Orton’s WWE deal expires or when he would be able to leave for AEW, should that even be the case in the first place.

In case you’d like to hear the full thing. Check out the Fightful podcast:

Orton was in action as of late and still seemed pretty good. Check out his latest match with Mustafa Ali:

Opinion: I’d take this with a few buckets full of salt. Orton is in a place in WWE where he can basically do whatever he wants and get well paid for it, so I’d be surprised if he moved over to a new promotion at this point. He’s thirty eight years old and has been in WWE since he was in his early twenties. It’s not out of the question, but there’s a big step between “willing to talk to” and signing a new deal.
