RUMOR: WWE Cutting More Wrestlers Soon

They aren’t done yet. With so many people on the WWE roster, there are only so many places to put all of them. WWE even has multiple television shows throughout the week, including one going all the way from England with NXT UK. At some point you have to get rid of a few of them though, and that seems to be the case again, as more names might be on the way out.

According to the Mat Men Podcast, there may be some releases coming from the NXT UK roster at some point in the near future. There is no word on which names will be released. This comes after a series of releases throughout the WWE roster, including both the main roster and NXT, beginning in the middle of April. Budget cuts have been cited as the reason for the releases.

Opinion: You kind of have to know that these things were coming as almost every part of the company has seen some releases. I’m not sure how much a company with as much money as WWE needs to make budget cuts, but there does come a point where you need to let some people go. That seems to be the case for NXT UK, which makes a bit more sense when they only have an hour a week.
