To the other side? There are all kinds of wrestlers in WWE today but given how many there are, the company is going to run out of ways to keep everything fresh. Sometimes something needs to be done to mix things up at least a little bit. One of the best ways to do this is to flip someone from either good to evil or vice versa, and we may have seen just that this week on SmackDown.
The opening match on this week’s edition of SmackDown featured Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins. The Usos were at ringside during the match and at one point, attempted to help Rollins win. This did not sit well with Rollins, who wanted to win the match on his own and shoved Jey Uso down. As a result, Jimmy Uso superkicked Rollins, ultimately helping to cost him the match. Later in the night, Rollins told Roman Reigns to deal with the Usos or Rollins would do it himself.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, this could be a sign of a face turn for Rollins, who has been a villain since November 2019, mainly as the Monday Night Messiah/Savior of SmackDown. Rollins has been feuding with Cesaro over the last several weeks, including losing to him during the first night of WrestleMania 37. There is no word on what is next for Rollins following his match with Cesaro.
It was a heck of a match. Check out how Rollins did with and without the Usos:
Opinion: I rather hope that this is the case, as Rollins has needed to be freshened up for a very long time now. At the end of the day, Rollins has been virtually the same thing for about a year and a half now and needs something different. He has more talent than he knows what to do with and hopefully this leads him to a better place. Granted there may be nothing to this, but it would be rather nice to see the change take place.
Will this lead to a Rollins’ turn? Is Rollins better as a babyface or a heel? Let us know in the comments below.
