That’s old school money. One of the biggest stories this year has been WWE talent trying to get out of their contracts. With the rise of AEW, wrestlers now feel like they have an alternative to apply their craft and that opens some new doors. It’s hard to say if that is going to work out for them in the long run, but WWE is fighting back to keep some stars in a pretty big way.
According to Fightful.com, WWE has offered the Revival five year contracts worth $500,000 per year to stay with the company. At the moment, the Revival is not expected to sign the deal as they are still likely to leave the company when their contracts expire. However, they are still scheduled to meet with the company to discuss their futures there. There is no word on when exactly their contracts expire.
From slightly better days. Check out the Revival fighting for the Raw Tag Team Titles:
Opinion: That’s a lot of money to turn down but if the Revival can be happier elsewhere for less (or possibly more) money, good for them. I can’t imagine them not showing up in AEW at some point, though the question would be how long that lasts. There is nowhere near as much security in AEW as there is in WWE, but there are things more important than money and Revival seems to agree with that concept.
Do you think Revival will stick around? What is next for them in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
