That’s a unique way to go about things. Some stories in wrestling just don’t get closure and are left unsolved. Maybe the story is dropped, maybe the wrestlers leave or maybe the writers just forget about the whole thing. Wrestling fans still remember these things because there is always the chance that things are going to be brought up again. Now though, someone might be helping close some doors.

Sullivan recently posted two images to his Instagram story, showing both Hideo Itami and Aleister Black being attacked during their time in NXT. While these images have been seen before, Sullivan has circled himself in both pictures, suggesting that he was the one who attacked both men. Black’s attacker was revealed to have been Johnny Gargano, though Itami’s attacker was never revealed.

And there is video of each. Check out the Itami attack:

And the aftermath of the Black attack:

Opinion: I’m not sure what the point is in having Sullivan claim to have attacked Black, but the Itami thing is a nice little touch in a story that had been long since forgotten. Even if WWE isn’t going anywhere with this, it’s smart of Sullivan to try and take credit for something that doesn’t matter anymore. Getting rid of the loose ends helps as well, as it almost never happens in wrestling.
