One more for the schedule. It’s safe to say that WWE has a heck of a schedule with all kinds of different shows every month and week. Some of the shows are bigger than others and while the big ones are often the most interesting, there are some smaller ones with their own concepts that work quite well. We now might have something new, though you never can tell.
A video posted to the Tacoma Dome’s Facebook page lists a new pay per view event called Stomping Grounds taking place on June 23. This is interesting as that is the previous date announced for the rescheduled Backlash. At the moment there is no word on any special gimmicks for the show. WWE has yet to officially confirm the change, though an announcement should be coming any day.
And here’s what’s coming. Check out the official announcement:
Opinion: It’s not like it’s any worse than Backlash, which is as generic of a name as you’re going to get. If nothing else I can’t wait to hear Michael Cole shout “At the Stomping Grounds Pay Per View!” over and over because that’s how WWE thinks normal humans speak. Hopefully the show is entertaining, but you never can tell with these unknown shows anymore.
