RUMOR: Hello There. Who Is Knocking On Aleister Black’s Door?

Someone has to say yes. Earlier this year, Aleister Black was called up to the main roster from NXT. This was an exciting promotion as Black had all the tools necessary to be a big star on the main roster. He looks awesome, he has the talking abilities, his matches are more than adequate and he has one of the best looking finishers around. Then things slowed down a lot, but hope is just behind that door.

Since just after WrestleMania 35, Black has sat in a dark room and asked someone to pick a fight with him. This week on SmackDown live, someone knocked on the door but Black did not open it. However, according to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, the current plan is for Cesaro to be the one knocking, likely setting up a match with Black at Extreme Rules. Black’s last televised match was on the April 15 episode of Monday Night Raw.

As of now, Aleister Black is scheduled to work Extreme Rules. I can’t 100% confirm his opponent, but as of earlier today WWE had decided on Cesaro. We’ll see.

Opinion: Works for me, if nothing else for the sake of getting Black back in the ring. Having Black sit in a room and begging someone to fight him has not exactly been a great use of him and a match with Cesaro (or anyone for that matter) certainly sounds like a better use. It’s been far too long since someone has taken Black Mass, which is still one of the best finishers around.
