That’s working on a certain theme. We are coming up on Survivor Series and that makes for some different storyline building. Almost everything that is going on from week to week on both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown are put on hold for the sake of building up the now traditional brand vs. brand feuds. That means a lot of things are going to be taking place at Tables Ladders and Chairs in December. One such match would be a unique one and we might be seeing it take place next month.

One of the longer running feuds in modern WWE has been Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin. The two of them have fought several times over the last year and a half with both scoring wins over the other. Reigns has criticized Corbin’s time as Monday Night Raw General Manager and Corbin has not taken kindly to the statements. They have had multiple matches, with their most recent coming this month on SmackDown. It turns out that they may be in for another match of a different kind.

This is what they have been up to lately. Check out Corbin vs. Reigns last week:

Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin: SmackDown, Nov. 8, 2019

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the upcoming Reigns vs. Corbin match at Tables Ladders and Chairs may be a dog collar match. Reigns is known as the Big Dog and Corbin mocked the dog moniker in a recent promo. There is no confirmation that the match will be a dog collar match, though it will be a gimmick match of some sort. The match has not been announced by WWE, though it is listed on the Target Center website as taking place at the event. Reigns and Corbin will both be part of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series.

Dog collar matches can be brutal. Check out one featuring Le Champion Chris Jericho:

Opinion: I get the concept here, but my goodness are we really going with this kind of a match just because Corbin made fun of Reigns for being a small dog? That’s the best way they can get to a match like this? I’m skeptical enough about Corbin being this high up the card in the first place and now we’re going to have to hear him make dog jokes for the next month? The match should be fine enough, but it could be a very rough road to get us to that match.
