Is There Room For More? Update On NXT Possibly Moving To FOX Sports 1.

I’ll put it down as a no for right now. In less than five months, WWE is getting a major boost to its television audience when SmackDown Live moves over to the FOX network, opening up a huge potential audience for the company. Should things go well, there is a possibility that WWE could get more programming on FOX, though it seems that one specific show is off the table.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, there are currently no plans to move NXT from the WWE Network to Fox Sports 1. At the moment, neither side is interesting in the show moving, though that could change in the long room. The only other show planned for WWE is a weekly studio show, which will begin airing on Fox Sports 1 at some time later this year.

Opinion: That’s some of the best wrestling news I’ve heard in a long time. NXT is one of the few saving graces I have as a wrestling fan and it’s great to have the show on its own where the higher ups in WWE aren’t as likely to interfere with it. The idea of WWE “fixing” NXT would be very sad to see as it has become the best thing in WWE today. Just keep the bosses away from it and everything will be fine.
