Well that would be big. There are very few bigger free agents in wrestling at the moment than CM Punk. I mean, assuming you can call him a free agent. A better term is probably retired wrestler, but there’s always the chance that money could talk and bring him back into the fold. However, that might be easier said that done for WWE, but what about another company where he has had success before?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ring of Honor is making an attempt to sign Punk, possibly for their WrestleMania weekend show in Madison Square Garden. There is no clear word on whether or not Punk would be interested in returning as he has said that he doesn’t want to return under any circumstances but has also said that he would consider it if the right offer was presented to him. Punk wrestled in Ring of Honor from 2002-2005.

In case you’ve never seen how great Punk was in Ring of Honor.

Opinion: You know what, why not? It’s not like Ring of Honor has anything to lose by throwing an offer out to Punk as the worst he can do is say no. Can you imagine the reaction from a New York City crowd if Punk came back, even for one night only, in WWE’s home arena and blew the roof off the place? I could see Punk loving the idea of sticking it to them one more time, though I’m not sure if he would actually go through with it. Still though, no harm in asking.

Do you think Punk will ever wrestle again? Which promotion do you think he would wrestle for? Let us know in the comments below.
